At Hexagon Geospatial, we are always interested in how you are using our technology to make sense of the dynamically changing world. This is especially true of our Education customers, who are frequently on the cutting edge of using geospatial technology to answer pressing real-world problems. To facilitate this, we sponsored the first annual U.S. 2015 Education Contest.
Meet the Winners of the 2015 Education Contest
The inaugural winner was Su Zhang, Student of GIScience, Remote Sensing, and Civil Engineering at the University of New Mexico. As his reward, he was given a free trip to the HxGN LIVE conference in Las Vegas and the opportunity to present his paper to the conference attendees.
“I was really impressed by the great presentations and workshops provided by the conference. All the presentations and workshops that I attended were excellent and I learned a lot. The many of profession and interpersonal opportunities provided by this meeting also make my attendance there an essential investment in my professional career. I also want to thank HxGN Geospatial for providing me such a great opportunity to present my research! I do plan to attend the next year’s HxGN LIVE!” Su Zhang
“The HxGN LIVE conference was a great experience featuring an impressive suite of technologies covering the full workflow from planning, to collection, to exploitation. It was wonderful to meet such a diverse crowd of practitioners, developers, and product managers for such a wide range of tools, all in the same place. Many thanks to Hexagon Geospatial for the opportunity.” Dr. Chris Lippitt
Meet Su Zhang and hear him describe his winning project and what led him to choose ERDAS IMAGINE for his analysis.
As one of the advisory Professors for the winning student, Dr. Chris Lippitt has a unique perspective on our technology. Listen to this interview as he describes both Su’s work as well as the challenges facing Geospatial field and how Hexagon Geospatial fits in to those solutions.
