Meet the Hexagon Geospatial US Sales Team – Part 3

Over the last week, we’ve introduced you to our our regional sales managers, inside sales representatives, application engineers, and consultants for the Americas region. Now, it’s time to say hello to the rest of the Dream Team! Learn more about US sales management and the Americas team who support our US Sales Team.

Craig Erikson, Vice President, Americas

craig_erikson_photoCraig is responsible for managing the Hexagon Geospatial North American team, as well as the relationships across Hexagon companies in the Americas. In addition to this responsibility, Craig also leads our Global Content Partnerships, developing new and innovative partnerships with geospatial data providers. He has over 20 years of experience with geospatial technologies. Previously, Craig spent 14 years in various leadership positions in product, sales and strategic account management at leading space-based imaging companies. Prior to that, he led teams responsible for developing strategy for optimizing retail networks for a global energy company, and technical marketing teams at a leading geospatial software company. Craig holds a master’s degree with a specialization in remote sensing and GIS from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

Lori Ward, Sales Director, USA

Lori WardAs the Director of Sales for Dream Team USA, it is my job to keep our team focused and motivated. With almost 20 years of sales experience I know the highs and lows of selling so keeping a balance of body, mind and spirit is key. Our entire team thrives by working and playing hard and we know how to pull out all the stops when the going gets tough. With a BSc in geography and geology I naturally gravitate to any outdoor activity and respect the members of our team for sharing the same values for the outdoors and experiencing all life has to offer. Our collective strengths as bikers, marathoners, trekkers, yogis, fisherman, hunters, gardeners and chefs make us a diverse and competitive bunch. My love for Hexagon Geospatial comes from my love of our team and of course my love of geography and the surroundings in which we are blessed with.

 Bruce Chaplin, Vice President of Business Development, Americas

Bruce I am the Vice President of Business Development, Americas, and work with our sales teams and partners in the Americas region to grow our market position. I focus particularly on large, strategic accounts, and the server and cloud-based products. I have a background in geospatial technologies with 25 years experience in the industry. Working in sales allows me to combine my passion for geospatial technology with solving problems and helping people. I love learning about new ways our customers and partners are using geospatial technology to have a positive impact in the world, whether it be at a local, city, or even global level! I’ve been with the organization for many years, so the memories are many! But my best memories are of the people that I’ve worked with over the years, the relationships we’ve formed, and our shared experiences in solving problems and having fun together. The most enjoyable part about working with this team is how we truly operate as a team – open, supportive and collaborative. I am involved in the leadership of a large and active boy scout troop in Alpharetta, GA, where I coordinate the monthly campouts, and high-adventure programs for the troop. I also enjoy tennis, running, biking, and camping, as well as spending time with my family. And when time allows, reading and tinkering.

Lauren Wood, Americas Field Marketer

Lauren WoodI am the Americas Field Marketer for Hexagon Geospatial. I joined the Hexagon Geospatial team in July of 2015. As the Field Marketer for the Americas, I am responsible for developing marketing campaigns and strategies both direct to market and through channel partnerships throughout the Americas region. I received a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication, as well as a minor in Rhetoric from Georgia College & State University. My favorite memory with the sales team would have to be from our recent team building cooking challenge. Let’s just say you learn a lot about people in a competitive setting! Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my friends and family, attending concerts, drinking coffee and playing fetch with my cat, Fitz.

 Michael (Mike) Patton, Divisional Counsel

I have 15+ years experience as a developer working with .NET, C#, MsSQL, MVC, Microsoft IIS, JavaScript, JQuery, PHP, PERL, AJAX, Apache Web Servers, Oracle, MySQL, Postgres and 12+ years as an attorney, 5 of these at Intergraph/Hexagon Geospatial. My previous experience was at a private practice as a contracts/software, criminal defense, juvenile law & family law attorney. What I most enjoy about working in sales is working with people and watching ideas materialize into value and revenue! My favorite memory at Hexagon Geospatial just took place recently. A few weeks ago we had a fall festival and being able to see the team of people out from behind their desks and having fun was really a home run for me. The mix of people and personalities on the team is amazing. We each bring our own expertise to the table and without a personal agenda because we all want to succeed and help each other succeed. In my spare time, I enjoy photography, art/anything creative, programming, hunting/fishing, working on old cars, and hanging out with my son and family.
