Join the Conversation: The Hexagon Geospatial Community

Many people think that geography is the study of location, but that is actually just the tip of the iceberg, so to speak. Of course understanding the location of nations, capitols, resources, cultures, roads, etc. is part of geography, but the real bulk of geography, the part of the iceberg that lies beneath the waterline, is understanding the relationships of all of these things. Understanding how the pieces work together—or don’t work together, which might be even more important—is the real work of geography.

To understand all of these pieces, we need to work together, to communicate, and to learn from each other.

Building software can be very much the same thing. And it might take a community to build your Hexagon Smart M.App.

In order to innovate most effectively, we need to understand a huge amount of disparate pieces. How does Part A work, and how does it plug into Part B? We have expertise in one area, but we need to access someone who has expertise in another domain. How can we access them?

To facilitate this innovation, we have created the Hexagon Geospatial Community. This is a place to meet with others, exchange ideas, ask questions, share knowledge, and interact with others who are trying to change the face of geospatial technology, just like you are. Find tips and pointers on our technology, and download some code snippets to get a jump start on coding. It’s really a place for you to grow, share, and succeed.
