How COVID-19 Crisis Responders Can Receive Google Maps Credits

The Program is Intended for Not-for-Profit Organizations Developing Public Websites or Mobile Apps in Relation to COVID-19

Communities all over the world are working together to combat COVID-19. Developers are also playing an active role in relief efforts. Developing crisis response websites and apps aid the public and their targeted users to stay informed and subsequently healthy. There has been a great response from developers looking to contribute their own skill sets during the pandemic.

To support them, Google is expediting applications for Google Maps Platform Crisis Response credits. Google Maps Platform issues credits in a dollar amount that is automatically applied to your billing account at the end of the month against the cost of your usage of any Google Maps Platform APIs or SDKs that month. Google also created a special collection of APIs and SDKS that are most commonly used for crisis response implementations.

This offering is only available to not-for-profit developers offering a publicly available website or mobile app related to the COVID-19 pandemic. Websites and apps offering valid services and/or distributing information from authoritative sources (e.g. Centers for Disease Control, World Health Organization, and state and local health agencies) are eligible.

As a Google premier partner and authorized Google Maps and Google Cloud reseller, Hexagon can help you through this process. Our Google-certified team provides active account management, optimization, and support free of charge. We also offer offline billing options, such as invoicing, which can help employees from government entities, non-profits, and companies without direct access to a company credit card to set up a billing account.

Hexagon is ready to help you implement Google Maps and use the credits to assist in the fight against COVID-19. This is just one way we are helping communities leverage the power of location intelligence during the pandemic. We  have created a series of Smart Maps showing the spread of the virus. We are  offering free trials and discounted subscriptions of Mobile Alert to local governments and service providers to help communities gather crowdsourced information from their citizens during the pandemic. We are also offering temporary home licences to our Power Portfolio customers at no extra cost so that users can continue working from home.

To learn more about how you can leverage Google Maps or our products to aid your community during this difficult time, please contact us, and our team will be in contact with you right away.
