Hexagon Joins Vision Zero Network’s Membership Circle of Supporters

The Vision Zero Network is a collective with a stated goal of eliminating all traffic fatalities and severe injuries while increasing safe, healthy, equitable mobility for all. Hexagon’s Geospatial division shares these objectives and is proud to announce a partnership with Vision Zero.

As a charter member of Vision Zero Network’s Membership Circle of Supporters, Hexagon will be at the forefront of the crusade against roadway deaths. In the U.S. alone, more than 40,000 people are killed each year in traffic incidents. Millions more are injured.

By implementing powerful technology and building prevention strategies, Hexagon and Vision Zero believe that highway deaths and injuries can be greatly reduced — and, eventually, eliminated completely.

But to make it happen, leaders in the realms of public health, transportation planning and engineering, policy, community advocacy, and the private sector must develop and share promising ideas. Those ideas must then be evaluated and executed.

Streamlined Processes and Smarter Decisions

Hexagon’s Geospatial division works with various Departments of Transportation across the United States to make Vision Zero a reality. Using Hexagon’s tools, officials can make smarter, more informed decisions about roadway safety initiatives.

Making sense of traffic statistics and data is key to prioritizing improvements to prevent highway deaths, and streamlining the process — from collection to visualization to analysis — ensures better outcomes and allows safety practitioners to advance the principles of Vision Zero.

Preventing deaths and serious injuries among travelers is the top concern for transportation agencies in any jurisdiction. Likewise, enabling governments to meet the goals of Vision Zero is one of Hexagon’s highest priorities.

Communities of all sizes will benefit from safer roadways, and Hexagon is committed to taking significant action to help ensure the safety of the traveling public. Learn more about our work in the transportation industry.
