The Pavillon de l’Eau, located along the Seine river, 4 minutes away from the Eiffel Tower, was a very beautiful setting for a very successful Hexagon Geospatial World Tour event. Hosted by the GEOSYSTEMS France team and Hexagon Geospatial employees, including Johan Jessenk, Director Middle East, France and BeNeLux, customers and prospects gathered to experience a world of topics, from products presentations, novelties, demos and on top of all that, conviviality!
Patrice Lemire, CEO at GEOSYSTEMS France, kicked off the session with the brand new look of GEOSYSTEMS France. A new logo and a new website now feature the 4 colorful universes that represent the company’s activities: Photogrammetry & Remote Sensing, DRONES, GNSS, GIS.
Then Oliver Zimmerman, Geospatial Technical Sales Manager from HEXAGON GEOSPATIAL EMEA, introduced the Hexagon Geospatial Power Portfolio through its 3 Suites – Producer, Provider and Platform – reviewing the latest product enhancements.
Élodie Edoh-Alove, GIS and Web GIS Product Manager at GEOSYSTEMS France, together with Emmanuel Chollet from Intergraph France, introduced the geospatial intelligence available for all areas of GeoMedia Smart Client. She also performed a dynamic presentation GeoMedia features in the Producer Suite.
Stéphane Lhomme, remote sensing expert and Project Manager for French speaking countries in Africa, showed the latest improvements within ERDAS IMAGINE. Delphine Pirat and Jean-Michel Metiver from IRSN, a long-term relationship customer, also shared their experience with ERDAS IMAGINE, focusing on using Spatial Models within ERDAS IMAGINE.
Later, Sébastien Manson, Technical Director, introduced the new features IMAGINE Photogrammetry and he demonstrated how to create and explore point clouds with Auto DTM.
Yves Breschard, France Sales Manager, promoted Leica Zeno GIS solutions including handled field controller, computer tablets, GNSS receivers, software and services. Leica Geosystems is part of the Hexagon portfolio handled by GEOSYSTEMS France.
Lunch was another key moment: participants had the opportunity to watch powerful product demos with GEOSYSTEMS France’s team on hand to show new tools and answer all technical questions.
After lunch, Patrice Lemire continued the session, presenting key customers’ examples in Maghreb using ERDAS APOLLO and ECW solutions. He then closed the day with a presentation on drones, and more particularly, the management of images taken from drones.
We have received overwhelmingly positive feedback since the event, and GEOSYSTEMS France’s team looks forward to more opportunities to share with Hexagon Geospatial and enthusiastic customers.
