As INTERGEO 2017 gets ready to kick off tomorrow, we are putting the finishing touches on our booth and presentations. We are excited to get the chance to meet many of you in person and to show you the innovations we have been building over the past year.
This year, Hexagon Geospatial President Mladen Stojic will be delivering a keynote at INTERGEO 2017. The geospatial industry is seeing a big shift. More and more enterprises are recognizing the value in location data and seek to incorporate it into their workflows. But at the same time, they have neither the time nor the resources to invest in building a traditional GIS department to take advantage of geospatial information.
We know you won’t want to miss the chance to hear him cast a vision for how geospatial industry is changing.
Mladen Stojic: Escaping the Flatlands
Thursday, 28 September 2017, 09.30 – 10.30 am | Paris 1
Traditional geospatial workflows don’t work anymore. We collect data. We flatten it into layers. We build maps to deliver a message. We stack data layer on top of data layer, attempting to create a static picture that replicates reality. This is like showing people a sheet of music and telling them they have just experienced a symphony.
We need change. We need to escape the flatlands of static, flat maps.
With the increase in data sources – some of them even recording in real time – we can escape the confines that traditional geospatial technology has imposed upon us. We can begin building a new and meaningful interactive experience that communicates information.
Join Hexagon Geospatial President Mladen Stojic as he showcases novel, real-world examples of how we experience geospatial information. This keynote will introduce easier ways to ingest the influx of data, automated approaches to analysis that extract the signal from the noise, and intuitive ways to communicate insights to decision makers and field teams to shape smarter change.
Hope to see you there!
