Michael has been in the geospatial industry since 1986 and has worked in a variety of state government and geospatial consulting roles using a wide variety of technologies including Hexagon, Google, Esri, and Open Source. Michael currently works at Thermopylae Science and Technology, a part of Hexagon, and focuses on Thermopylae’s partnership with Google. Michael’s work spans data science and sales enablement related to both the Google Cloud and Maps Platforms. Other work at Thermopylae includes coordination with Hexagon Geospatial’s Content Delivery Program which provides leading imagery and LiDAR products to government and commercial customers via standards-based web services. Michael is also a passionate volunteer in the geospatial open source software community and was the Chair of the 1,100+ attendee Free and Open Source for Geospatial (FOSS4G) conference held in Boston in 2017.
