With their vast knowledge of the industry and range of expertise, we thought it was time to introduce you to the “Dream Team” as we like to call ourselves! With too many important members for one blog, we’ve split our introductions into a three part series. Say hello to our regional sales managers and inside sales representatives on the United States Sales Team!
Ken Hamilton, Regional Sales Manager Southeast
I am the regional sales manager for the Southeast region. I enjoy working with customers in diverse industries delivering solutions through our high-tech geospatial software. I consider myself to be solution-minded and problem-oriented. I also enjoy establishing long term business relationships that often turn into personal friendships. I thrive on the challenges of the sale cycle and overcoming them to final closure. With over 25 years experience in IT and 10 years in Geospatial sales, by far the most enjoyable experience is working with the team of experts at Hexagon Geospatial. They are always willing to assist customers and aid in the sale. Our group has been properly named the “Dream Team” because it is the type of team everyone dreams of joining. In my down time, I enjoy sailing, hunting and golfing; when time allows I occasionally manage to scuba dive when visiting a friendly island.
Diane Geheber, Inside Sales Southeast
I am the inside sales representative for the Southeastern US. I have been with this company since the early ERDAS days. I started in 1983. I like to garden in my spare time and I love the beach and college sports—especially LSU football and March Madness. I don’t really do hard-core sales but I would say I like finding the answers to customers questions and helping complete the sale. My favorite memories, and there are oh so many, precede Hexagon Geospatial, but if I had to pick one for HG I would say the sales meeting last year in Baton Rouge.
Justin Byrd, Regional Sales Manager Northeast and Midwest
I am the regional sales manager for the Northeast and Midwest at Hexagon Geospatial. I have been in the industry for 10 years and taught myself GIS/remote sensing. I received a Bachelor of Arts in History from the College of Mount St. Joseph. In my spare time, I like to spend time with my family. What I most enjoy about sales is the opportunity to meet great people and solve problems.
Derek Luiz, Inside Sales Northeast
My name is Derek Luiz and I am an Inside Sales Representative for the Northeast Region. I am brand new to the industry, coming from a background in selling hardware. I graduated from the University of Georgia and love attending football games and hanging out with my wife and son. I enjoy the camaraderie of the sales team and the willingness to help each other out and make ourselves better.
Jacob Hut, Inside Sales West
I am the inside sales representative for the West Region. I have been with Hexagon Geospatial for the past 15 months. I have a Bachelor of Science in Geography from Kennesaw State University. In my spare time, I enjoy anything involving the outdoors and keeping active. Cooking and brewing has become a passion over the past several years and maxes my artistic potential. What I most enjoy about working in sales is creating a relationship—the sequence of interactions between myself and a complete stranger that ends up providing them with a solution that exceeds their expectations. I enjoy the diversity of experience and skill sets on the sales team – just observing how others work allows me to grow as an individual and in my career.
Robert O’Munneke, Western Regional Sales Manager
I’m Robert O’Munneke, Western Regional Sales Manager based out of Colorado. As you can see from the photo, my family and I do everything Colorado has to offer; lots of hiking, skiing, mountain biking, snowshoeing, camping and of course fishing. I’ve been in the geospatial industry now for just over 6 years and fully see the potential that this industry, Hexagon and our team have to offer. Having been at Hexagon Geospatial for over a year now I’ve had some incredible and memorable moments, whether it was tailgating at an LSU game eating gator tail or ‘winning’ the prestigious chopped cooking competition with my team. Team Closers came together, used our strengths, stuck with our plan and left with the trophy. I look forward to many more!
