To support this effort, Hexagon Geospatial partner Planetek Italia, in close collaboration with Intergraph Italia LLC, recently hosted a workshop about new and innovative ways to leverage the growing availability of SAR data in Italy for Defense and Intelligence applications.

With more than 50 people in attendance, which included many organizations and officials involved in the Italian Defense arena, the event highlighted the value of Hexagon Geospatial solutions to support both expert and non-expert users.  Other attendees included officials from various Italian civil protection departments, as well as leaders from the Italian Institute for Geophysics and Volcanology.

Planetek Italia SAR Workshop 2Participants gained key insights from practical demonstrations of our solutions, such as how Hexagon Geospatial’s software enhances decision-making capabilities in emergency and safety situations, as well as for environmental security.

Presenters included Massimo Zotti, Planetek Sales Manager; Simone Colla, Technical Manager at Intergraph Italy; and Giulio Ceriola, Senior Technical Specialist at Planetek Italia.  Each of these executives shared their key insights on how to best use SAR data for multiple defense applications.

The event is a prime example of how our partner community can offer its thought leadership to help any Defense and Intelligence organization maximize mission effectiveness through SAR imagery and analysis.

We look forward to seeing our growing partner community in EMEA take advantage of similar opportunities for educating and empowering our passionate and growing base of users.
