Although 2015 is almost over, we won’t forget about all of the exciting accomplishments that took place throughout the year. This was the first year we hosted two separate HxGN LIVE events. It was the year that the Hexagon Smart M.App® platform launched at HxGN LIVE in Hong Kong. It was also the year we launched our new website with an updated look and feel.

We want all of these memorable events to live on through our stories, as well as our customer and partner stories. With that said, let’s take a look back at the Best Stories of the Provider Suite for 2015.

Green-GISIt’s Easy Being Green GIS
Intergraph SG&I, now Hexagon Safety and Infrastructure, developed a Green GIS initiative in order to help global organizations become more energy efficient and climate friendly. Using Hexagon Safety and Infrastructure’s ECW (Enhanced Compressed Wavelet) data compression format, along with Hexagon Geospatial’s ERDAS APOLLO, a solution was created to drastically reduce the volume of raster data and point clouds.

This March, Hexagon Geospatial and Hexagon Safety and Infrastructure celebrated the 10-year anniversary of supporting the Land Survey Office of the Czech Republic in the development and the expansion of the ČÚZK Geoportal. The ČÚZK Geoportal serves as the site for sharing all geospatial data with various government departments, as well as the public in the Czech Republic. Since its launch, it has provided spatial data and services for the territory of the Czech Republic.
