It’s the time of the year for us to reflect back on all of the great happenings at Hexagon Geospatial. It’s been a busy year, but it’s been one of our best yet! We’ve put together a brand new website, successfully hosted two HxGN LIVE events, and launched the Hexagon Smart M.App platform, including early access programs for M.App Chest, GeoApp.UAS and M.App Studio! Those are only some of our many accomplishments from the year.
Let’s take a look back at the Best Stories of the Producer Suite featuring ERDAS IMAGINE for 2015.

Producer Online, a Cloud-Based Option for On-Demand Access to Remote Sensing and GIS Software
This year at HxGN LIVE Las Vegas, we announced the launch of Producer Online, an entirely new way to access our GIS and remote sensing products through the cloud. Producer Online allows for on-demand access to ERDAS IMAGINE and GeoMedia software online through a pay-as-you-go subscription.
Searching for the Source of the Essequibo River
In 2013, Germany’s Dresden University of Applied Sciences set out to explore the Essequibo River in Guyana, South America. The team utilized Hexagon Geospatial’s ERDAS IMAGINE and ERDAS IMAGINE add-ons to process satellite data in order to navigate through the forests. The team put their produced surface model to the test and successfully completed an eight week journey along the Essequibo, which was featured in a television documentary.
Automatic Image Change Detection with Patent-Pending Technology
Earlier this year, we were excited to announce that Hexagon Geospatial had begun working with several partners in the property appraisal field to update the image change detection process. Using ERDAS IMAGINE, the property appraisal workflow allows users to compare imagery captured at different times and can determine the change which has occurred over time in each zone.
